Job DescriptionWorking independently and with limited supervision under direction of the Director, Brand and Retail Marketing, the Senior Manager, Social & Community is responsible for managing communications both internally and externally within social media channels.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Develop and execute the broader social media strategy in alignment with the overall marketing objectives and brand guidelines, inclusive of channel expansion strategies.
Set channel targets and KPIs to measure the success and impact of social media efforts.
Create, curate, and publish engaging content across various social media platforms, including stills, product review and reveal videos, live streams, in-store event coverage, industry event coverage, and industry talent interviews.
Monitor and respond to user comments, messages, and inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
Mine channel analytics and performance metrics to identify areas of improvement and optimize content strategies.
Collaborate closely with the brand marketing team to ensure alignment with video game release schedules and product feature priorities.
Develop channel-specific plans for key marketing beats, leveraging insights and trends to maximize engagement and reach.
Stay up to date with the latest social media trends, tools, and best practices, and share knowledge with the broader team.
Utilize social media management platforms to streamline workflows and effectively manage social media channels.
Be independently curious about the ever-changing social media landscape and proactively suggest innovative ideas to enhance GameStop's social media presence.

SENIOR COMMUNITY MANAGER REQUIREMENTS Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field.
7
years of experience in social media management, preferably in the gaming or entertainment industry.
Proven track record of developing and executing successful social media strategies and campaigns.
Strong knowledge of social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, Discord and Twitch.
Proficiency in content creation tools and software, such as Adobe Creative Suite or similar.
Proficient knowledge of Windows-based computers and Microsoft Office programs; specifically, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and strong editing abilities.
Demonstrated ability to analyze data and draw actionable insights to optimize social media performance.
Familiarity with social media management platforms (e.
g.
, Sprout) and experience with social media scheduling and analytics tools.
Passion for video games and a solid understanding of the gaming industry.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and effectively prioritize tasks.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Comfortable working in a large corporation and aligning work with core business KPIs.
Proactive and self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
Consistently demonstrates a commitment to GameStop policies and procedures, including but not limited to, attendance, confidentiality, conflict of interest, and ethical responsibilities.
Preferred location:
Seattle or Dallas area.
Willingness to travel moderately to various stores for local coverage and participate in domestic travel for trade shows, publisher events, video game midnight releases, etc.
