Position:
Director, IS Applications & Informatics Full Time Permanent Coppell, TX Summary of Functions:
The Director of IS Applications & Informatics contributes to, influences, and drives organizational vision through strategic enterprise full life cycle management of all revenue cycle, ERP, and customer-facing applications.
This role evaluates business needs and internal/external customer requirements, develops, and implements technical solutions accordingly to enable business and strategic growth trajectory.
It directs and designs the use of systems to collect, aggregate, and report data to achieve regulatory requirements and efficiency, while also being responsible for end-user education, adoption, optimization, and training of applications.
Key
Responsibilities:
Application Software Architecture and Development:
Develops and executes application roadmaps in response to our vision, goals, strategy, organizational and program needs.
Manages activities that take place during solution ideation, solution design, and solution implementation.
Provides leadership and expertise in streamlining the technology stack, including application vetting process and rationalization.
Provides software development and QA support for solution implementation.
Directs the identification and recommendation of appropriate solutions, upgrades, replacements, or decommissioning options.
Identifies emerging technologies and trends in the network/telecom and electronics industry.
Investigates and implements new solutions supporting the use of artificial intelligence, machine learning, and robotic process automation.
Oversees end-user training, adoption, and optimization of all applications systems.
Manages application team resources and third-party resources.
Develops, enhances, and maintains partnerships with key internal and external stakeholders.
Information Reporting and Analysis:
Builds datasets, reporting infrastructure, and BI dashboards to support business and customer reporting requirements.
Optimizes and automates reporting solutions to streamline decisions and actions from the business.
Creates Business Intelligence (BI) reports for customers, managing the team that supports.
Develops tools for predictive forecasting and financial modeling.
Performs personnel administrative functions and establishes and refines goals, performance, and accountability measures.
Additional
Responsibilities:
Other duties as assigned, including but not limited to support activities spanning multiple business units:
equipment sales, repair sales, field services, and Asset Lifecycle Management programs.
Skills/Knowledge/Experience Required:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer science, Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems, or other related degree.
Prefers Master of Science.
Previous Agile/Scrum experience or certifications is a plus (CSM, DASSM, PMI-ACP).
Minimum of 3 years of object-oriented programming development experience.
Minimum of 5 years of ERP application experience (Dynamics AX, SAP S/4, NetSuite, IFS, JD).
Minimum of 5 years of previous experience related to IT Management or technology solutions architecture.
Operated in Agile, TFS/DevOps, and CI/CD (Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery) set-ups.
Front end and backend experience, including UI, database design, data warehousing, and modeling.
Understanding of multiple data integration techniques (EDI, AS2, XML, API, FTP).
Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server 2016
tools (SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, Job Agent, Profiler).
Previous experience with Microsoft Dynamix AX 2012 R2/R3 or Dynamics 2009 is a plus.
Development with X++, C#,.
NET, SQL, Python.
Experience using Azure data applications is a plus (Data Factory, Data Lake, Databricks, Synapse).
Experience with CRM applications is a plus (Dynamics CRM, Shopify, Salesforce).
WMS - warehouse management system experience, familiarity with RFSmart preferred.
Microsoft application suite (Power Apps, Power BI, Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, SharePoint) or similar software.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, effectively balancing multiple activities.
