Our client is a highly respected electronics manufacturer located in Grapevine, TX.
They are seeking an extremely organized and detail-oriented Technical Project Manager to oversee and coordinate various technical projects within their organization.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing project timelines, coordinating cross-functional teams, and ensuring the successful completion of projects according to specifications and deadlines.
The Technical Project Manager will work closely with the engineering, quality, process engineering, planning, and customer teams to ensure effective communication and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
This is a direct-hire, full-time role.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with relevant teams to gather necessary information for accurate quote calculations.
Ensure timely completion of quote calculations and documentation.
Generate MPC ticket and assign it to the Customer Buyer for further processing.
Coordinate with the Customer Buyer to provide required information and support.
Collaborate with quality, engineering, and process engineering teams to review quotes and project packages.
Ensure all necessary information is available and accurate for project execution.
Receive completed MPC ticket from the Customer Buyer and coordinate the preparation of Production Planning and Control quotes.
Scrub material calculations, labor costs, and other relevant factors for accurate quote preparation.
Communicate with the planning team to discuss project routing and ensure alignment with project requirements.
Provide necessary inputs and guidance for optimal routing decisions.
Complete the New Product Introduction (NPI) checklist and submit it to the technical team for review and further action.
Collaborate with the technical team to address any issues or concerns related to checklist items.
Work with Technical Team on BOM (Bill of Materials) Setup, collaborating with the technical team to set up BOMs based on data in the calculation folder.
Create new part numbers (PNs) or use existing PNs as required.
Submit the completed BOMs to the assigned Customer Buyer and Technical Project Manager for review.
Engage in special tooling process engineering activities as needed.
Collaborate with the engineering team to develop and implement special tooling solutions.
Initiate requests for Engineering Project Numbers (EPNs) to track and manage engineering projects.
Ensure accurate documentation and communication of EPNs.
Monitor the progress of engineering projects and communicate updates to relevant stakeholders.
Collaborate with the engineering team to address any issues or obstacles that arise during project execution.
Coordinate and schedule meetings with customer engineers to discuss project-related matters.
Ensure effective communication and alignment between the customer and internal teams.
Initiate requests for Part Release Tracking (PRT) numbers to track and manage part releases.
Coordinate with relevant teams to ensure accurate documentation and communication of Production Part Approval Process (PRT) numbers.
Collaborate with quality and engineering teams to ensure timely completion of PPAP and FAI processes.
Follow up on any external FAI requirements and provide necessary support.
Communicate with Customers on Production, Testing, and Quality Issues Serve as the primary point of contact for customer communication regarding production, testing, and quality concerns.
Address customer inquiries and issues promptly and effectively.
Manage and coordinate Supplier Corrective Action Request (SCAR) processes to address quality issues with suppliers.
Collaborate with the quality team and suppliers to implement corrective actions.
RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) Follow-up and Resolution Oversee the RMA process and work with relevant teams to address customer returns.
Coordinate with the customer and internal teams to ensure timely resolution of RMA cases.
Review and evaluate Engineering Change Notices for projects.
Obtain necessary approvals and signoffs from stakeholders before implementing changes.
Identify and manage issue deviations in projects.
Facilitate the collection of required signatures for issue deviation resolution.
Generate and communicate Product Change Notification (PCN) notifications to relevant stakeholders.
Ensure timely and accurate dissemination of information regarding product changes.
Identify process-related issues and changes that may impact project execution.
Collaborate with the appropriate teams to address and implement necessary process improvements.
Participate in technical customer meetings to discuss project progress, technical requirements, and address any concerns.
Provide technical expertise and guidance to ensure successful project outcomes.
Manage and maintain technical master data, including material information, CM1 and CM2 costs, and related documentation.
Regularly review and update master data to ensure accuracy and relevance.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (engineering, project management, etc.
) or equivalent experience.
Proven experience as a Technical Project Manager or similar role.
Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and customers.
Attention to detail and ability to analyze complex information.
Familiarity with engineering processes, manufacturing, and quality control.
Proficient in project management tools and software.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Knowledge of industry standards and regulations relevant to the projects.
